DJMP-007 Virtual DJ Multi-Player
Official technical documentation, user manual, and legal regulations for the DJ workstation on Android.
PART I: FULL USER MANUAL #
Introduction to DJMP-007 #
DJMP-007 is an uncompromising DJ workstation for Android, designed by Glaucus TC sp. z o. o. The application architecture is based on a native real-time audio engine using the Google Oboe / AAudio library with an ultra-low latency (sub-5ms) shared stream and a lock-free RAM buffer with Hermite cubic interpolation (Cubic Hermite Resampling).
The application combines the flagship functionality of club CDJ players with the hardware physics of the SL-1200 analog turntable, wireless synchronization of multiple players MPAirLinkDJ (Multi Player Air Link DJ) and real-time artificial intelligence (AI Stems Separation).
1. Fail-Safe & 4-Beat Emergency Loop Architecture #
- 4-Beat Roll Loop: Instantly creates a seamless loop of exactly 4 beats (1 full measure in 4/4 time) calculated from the BPM diagnosis.
- Stage use: When a mixed track ends or a DJ needs to extend the transition without losing energy or rhythm, the loop creates a stable drum background.
- Automatic emergency buffer (FAIL-SAFE): In the event of a sudden disconnection of the storage medium, a decoder error or a temporary blockage of the graphical interface, the native Oboe audio thread switches in a fraction of a millisecond to the 4-beat roll buffer looped in RAM, guaranteeing 100% sound continuity on the club sound system.
2. Quantize (Quantize to Beatgrid) #
- Role of the system: Aligns all DJ commands in real time to the nearest quarter/eighth note of the rhythm grid.
- Principle of operation: Even when you press the CUE button, Hot Cue (A-F) or Beat Loop a split second before or after the actual beat, the algorithm immediately pulls the playback phase to the grid point, preventing the songs from moving apart (clashing).
3. Slip Mode (Virtual reverse and background manipulation) #
- Application: Performing impressive tricks - JOG wheel scratching, REV reverse, triggering Hot Cue pads, stopping the platter or looping - without losing the natural progression of the song.
- Operating principle: When the
SLIPindicator is active, the actual song stream runs silently in the background at normal speed. When you release JOG or turn off REV, playback immediately returns to the point where the song would have been if the trick hadn't happened.
4. Hot Cue Pads (A-F), CLEAR Clear and G/H Effectors #
- Hot Cue Pads (A–F):
- Tapping an empty pad (highlighted in dark gray) instantly remembers the current playback position down to one audio sample.
- The next touch on the pad immediately jumps to the saved point on the fly.
- CLEAR button:
- Clears the contents of all 6 Hot Cue pads simultaneously, allowing you to arrange a new sequence of points for the next mix.
- Pad G (ECHO):
- Activates tempo-synchronized spatial stereo echo.
ECHO LVLslider: adjust the echo volume (wet/dry).FDBKslider: feedback depth (repeat duration).- Pad H (FLANGER):
- Activates jet sweep phase modulation.
FLNG DEPTHslider: spectrum modulation depth.RATEslider: filter oscillator (LFO) frequency.
5. BROWSE Song Browser & Instant Import #
- BROWSE button: Opens a full-screen audio database with search engine, local files tab and SoundCloud library.
- + FILES button: Allows you to select single or multiple audio files (formats: MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A/AAC).
- Button + DIRECTORY: Recursively searches the entire selected folder along with all its subdirectories and automatically adds the found tracks to the deck's playlist.
6. Seamless Queued Load #
- Playing Song Protection: While a song on the deck is playing (
PLAY), selecting a new song from a playlist or SoundCloud does not pause or mute the music. - Background Loading: The new file is decoded into 32-bit Float PCM format and the BpmDetector algorithm diagnoses its tempo and first beat in the background.
- Ready indication: The
NEXT ▶button on the top bar turns bright orange with the label[READY]and the display shows[NEXT: New song title]. - Instant Takeover (Drop): The moment the DJ presses the
NEXT ▶button (or when the previous song ends), the new song instantly jumps to the deck with zero delay.
7. Sound Wave Visualization Waveform & Smooth Needle Drop #
- Multiband Colors (CDJ Style):
- Electric Blue color: bass parts, kick drum (kick), strongest fragments (drops).
- Color Warm Amber / Orange: midrange section, vocals, guitars, lead instruments.
- Color White / Light Cyan: high-frequency percussion instruments (hi-hats, cymbals, FX noise).
- ZOOM view switch:
FULL: comprehensive preview of the song from beginning to end with visible breaks (breakdowns, bridges).TAPE: A 6-second smooth tape that advances at a playback rate of 60 frames per second.- Needle Drop & Scrubbing: Directly touching or dragging your finger across the sound wave instantly moves the player's needle to the desired location.
8. BEAT LOOP & BEAT JUMP section #
- BEAT LOOP (4-BEAT / 8-BEAT): One tap instantly locks into a perfect 4 or 8 beat loop. Touching the button again or clicking
EXIT LOOPsmoothly releases the loop. - BEAT JUMP (« 4B, ‹ 1B, 1B ›, 4B »): Instantly jump forward or backward by exactly 1 or 4 bars/beats without any beat skip or sound jerk.
9. CUE Button (Automatic Downbeat & Start Support) #
- Automatic CUE Point: As soon as a song is loaded, the analysis engine automatically detects and sets the CUE marker on the first distinct downbeat.
- Operating logic:
- Pressing CUE during playback: immediately stops the sound and moves back to the start beat.
- Pressing CUE during pause: smoothly starts listening to the song from the starting point.
10. TEMPO Fader slider (±15%) & JOG wheel #
- TEMPO slider: Smooth speed regulation with an accuracy of 0.01% and a virtual central pawl (0.00%).
- JOG wheel:
- Outer edge: Pitch-bend (temporarily tighten or slow down the song by ±4%) for precise alignment of phrases.
- Central dial (VINYL): Scratching with full modeling of the inertia, slip and resistance of the gramophone record.
- Full Platter Scratch switch (in Options): Enables scratching with the entire surface of the JOG wheel (both the edge and the center) or traditionally only the central disc.
11. JOG Scratch Zone & Left-Handed Mode #
- Full Platter Scratch: Option in the settings dedicated to DJ turntablists - the entire surface of the dial reacts like a gramophone record with a needle, eliminating the risk of accidentally slipping the finger onto the pitch-bend ring during quick drops and scratch cuts.
- Ergonomics for Left-Handed: The switch in the Settings menu allows you to reverse the architecture of the console on the screen with one click - the JOG wheel, TEMPO fader and Transport buttons move to the left side, and the LCD screen and pads to the right, ensuring full comfort and ergonomics of a natural left-hand grip.
12. SL-1200 analog turntable motor simulation (MOTOR ON/OFF) #
- MOTOR switch: Located next to the TEMPO slider, it simulates disconnection of the direct drive power supply (direct drive).
- Deceleration Physics: The sound and platter decelerate smoothly for 6-8 seconds due to the resistance of the gramophone needle.
- 1:1 physics with the engine turned off: With the drive turned off, inertial resistance has been reduced to zero - turning the JOG wheel with your hand exactly corresponds to moving your finger on a 1:1 scale, allowing you to manually unscrew and brake the vinyl.
13. AI Stems Track Isolation (VOCAL, DRUMS, INST) - Premium Feature #
- On-the-Fly Separation: Splits a song into three clean, separate audio components:
VOCAL: clean a cappella vocals,DRUMS: drums, kick drum, snare drums, hi-hats,INST: synthesizers, guitars, bass line, melodies.- Stage Control: Buttons in the Master Tempo row allow you to mute (
MUTE) or solo individual fractions in real time with perfect sample-to-sample synchronization.
14. SoundCloud integration #
- Search and Streaming: Direct access to millions of songs from the SoundCloud catalog.
- One-click login: Secure connection to your account via Google, Facebook, Apple or email - automatic synchronization of liked songs (Likes) and your own playlists.
- HLS decoding to RAM: The downloaded stream is immediately decoded to PCM format in the deck's memory, so songs from the cloud retain full JOG scratch, looping and Stems separation functionality, just like files from the device's memory.
15. MPAirLinkDJ - Wireless multi-deck synchronization (Multi Player Air Link) #
- Communication without a router: Works both in the local Wi-Fi network and on a direct mobile Hotspot created on one of the smartphones.
- P2P UDP Broadcast Protocol: Each phone represents a separate deck (DECK 1, DECK 2, DECK 3, DECK 4).
- MASTER / SYNC roles: The player with
MASTERenabled sets the tempo and phase of the rhythm grid, and the player inSYNCmode automatically equalizes the speed and beat without the need to use cables or hardware mixers.
16. STAGE GUARD: Silence notifications and ringtones (STAGE GUARD) #
- Stage Problem: An accidental notification sound (SMS, WhatsApp, Messenger, email) or a loud incoming call ringing while mixing a track on a club sound system is a disaster for a DJ performance.
- Principle of operation of STAGE GUARD:
- When DJMP-007 is launched, the application takes over Exclusive Audio Focus, blocking other applications from muting or mixing sounds with the set.
- Automatically mutes the ringtone (
STREAM_RING), notification (STREAM_NOTIFICATION) and system sounds (STREAM_SYSTEM) streams to zero. - Enables the system's Do Not Disturb / DND mode in the priority profile, preventing pop-up notifications on the screen.
- When you exit the app or disable protection, the user's previous volume levels and sound profiles are automatically restored.
17. REV, PLAY/PAUSE, Master Tempo & BPM Multiplier Buttons (1X/2X) #
- REV button: Dedicated large red button for instantly playing a song backwards on the fly.
- PLAY/PAUSE & CUE: Hardware response time (sub-5ms) to touch without any Android system lag.
- MASTER TEMPO (Key Lock): Key lock - when accelerating or slowing down a song, vocals and instruments do not change the pitch (no chipmunk effect).
- BPM multiplier (1X / 2X): A badge on the screen that allows you to instantly double or return to the base tempo value for songs diagnosed in half-time time signatures (e.g. drum & bass 87 vs 174 BPM, trap/dubstep 70 vs 140 BPM).
